Approving time off requests
If you are an approver for time off requests, you receive notifications when new requests are available to review (if you have notifications enabled in your profile settings). You can review requests awaiting approval from the following locations:
- From HRISMyWay Home on the Approvals pane under Leave Requests.

From the main menu, select Approvals > Time Off.
If needed, you can temporarily delegate your approval permissions to another employee. For more information, refer to Assigning a delegate.
Overview of approver actions
Approvers can approve and reject leave requests. The effects of each action are as follows, regardless of whether you perform them from the Approvals pane or the Approvals module:
Note: Employees only receive notifications if they have notifications enabled in their profile settings.

Approving a leave request:
- Adds the employee's time off to their timesheet for the appropriate period.
- Notifies the employee that their request was approved.

Rejecting a leave request:
- Allows you to add a comment.
- Sends the rejected request to the employee's Alerts pane on the HRISMyWay Home page.
- Does not add the requested time and any comment you add to any timesheet.
- Notifies the employee that their request was rejected.
Using the Approvals pane and module to approve time off
You can use either the Approvals pane or the Approvals module to approve time off requests. The lists below explain the features of each option.
The Approvals pane allows you to:
- Approve
or reject
individual time off requests from HRISMyWay Home.
- Hover over the request dates to view additional time off details.
The Approvals module allows you to:
- Approve or reject individual time off requests.
- View details about the time off request.
- View who in the department is away today on the Who's Out pane.
