Work Week
Work week setup allows you to set up work weeks (also called hours grids) based on your employees' working days and hours. For example, you can create distinct work weeks for full time employees who work seven and a half hour days and those who work eight hour days. You can also create work weeks for part-time employees, and so on.
When a work week is assigned to an employee:
- HRISMyWay can check whether an employee who is submitting a time sheet has entered the expected number of hours and display a warning message if the hours entered are under or over the work week's expected total.
- HRISMyWay can limit the number of hours an employee can request off in a day.
Work weeks you create are available in the Work Week drop-down list during employee record setup on the Employee Job tab. The default value in the Work Week drop-down list is Use Default, so if you only set up one work week and it is set as the default, it automatically applies to all employees. If you set up more than one work week, you must manually select a value in the Work Week drop-down list for each employee that the default work week does not apply to.

Adding work weeks
To add a work week, follow these steps:
- From the main menu, select Time Off > Configurations > Work Week.
- Select Add.

Complete the following fields:
Field Description Name Enter a unique name. Default To set this as the default work week, set this switch to Yes. Otherwise, set this switch to No. You can only have one default work week. If you select Yes and a different work week is already set as the default, this work week becomes the new default, and this setting is updated to No for the existing default work week. -
In the table, in the Working Day column, select the check box for each day to include in the work week.
Tip: For part-time employees who work weekends, select all seven days so that time entry is not restricted.

In the Working Hours column, enter the maximum number of hours allowed for each day you selected in step 4.
Tip: For part-time employees who work varying shift lengths, enter the maximum number of hours they are allowed to request off in a day.
- Select Save.
Editing work weeks
To edit a work week, follow these steps:
- From the main menu, select Time Off > Configurations > Work Week.
- On the work week you want to edit, select

- Select Save.
Deleting work weeks
To delete a work week, follow these steps:
- From the main menu, select Time Off > Configurations > Work Week.
- On the work week you want to delete, select
